Alleghe Dolomites

For the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, the Dolomites area is affected by important projects for new structures and redevelopment of existing ones.

The Ski Civetta Area, which is the largest in Veneto with fabulous landscapes, has given a new look to the Alleghe cable car.

The designer, the Arch. Luciano Schiavon chose to create a new north wall using a material that differs from the classic mountain ones (stone and wood), precisely to create a contrasting effect with the unique landscape of the Belluno Dolomites.

For this reason, even in this important context, Anodized aluminum was chosen in the form of thousands of spaced cubes, which give an effect of “lightness” to the large structure.

One of the fundamental reasons why architects and designers from all over the world choose anodized aluminum is, in addition to its mechanical qualities, the optical effect that is obtained according to the inclination of the sun’s rays, which is iridescent.

Shiny Silver Anodizing has been used to obtain a high reflective effect and at the same time maintain the original shade of Aluminum.
