BULGARI FACTORY

Bulgari is one of the leading Luxury Made in Italy brands famous throughout the world for jewelery, watches, perfumes, accessories and leather goods, and has decided to consolidate its production presence in Italy.

The largest manufacturing center in Europe covers an area of 34,000 square meters and develops, as per the project of the Bologna-based Open Project srl, in a main factory building, built ex novo.

Next to the new building, there is the ancient Cascina dell’Orefice, home to the first goldsmithing settlement of Valenza at the beginning of the 1800s, entirely rebuilt, enhanced and expanded thanks to the addition of a new wing entirely covered in glass: a Glass House with an extraordinary visual impact, more than 13 meters high, equipped with representative and welcoming underground spaces.

This project is without doubt an investment in the inestimable value of Italian manufacturing art, built according to innovative systems with low environmental impact.

For this new production site, Bulgari has chosen a ventilated external cladding in Anodized Aluminum, combining tradition and innovation with taste and technological skills.

The complex has in fact been designed to be able to obtain the International LEED Certification, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.

The Glass House is a customised structure that required a very strong design and a deep preparation both in the field of metal structures and in the field of glass constructions, as well as in the customization of Interference Coloring.

The 20 µm class Anodizing, of large panels, was made by NECE spa through the Interference Electrocoloring process with a dark gray / blue / purple shade created specifically for Bulgari and with a Chemical Matt finish.
