BATTERSEA - LONDON

The neighborhood of Battersea, located in southwest London, represents one of the most dynamic and rapidly changing areas of the British capital.

With a strategic location along the banks of the Thames River , Battersea has seen significant residential and commercial development in recent years, making it a coveted place for residents and investors.

One of the focal points of Battersea’s skyline is undoubtedly the former Power Station, an imposing Art Deco building that is important historical evidence but also a symbol of the area’s architectural renaissance.

One of the focal points of Battersea’s skyline is undoubtedly the former Power Station, an imposing Art Deco building that is important historical evidence but also a symbol of the area’s architectural renaissance.

The restoration kept intact the original red-brick facade, which continues to be a distinctive feature of London’s urban landscape, however, the addition of crystal-aluminum panels and innovative window frames has given the structure a new life, not only enhancing the building’s overall aesthetics, but also offering significant functional benefits such as increased energy efficiency and interior brightness.

The use of reflective Rimex panels makes it possible to hide internal elements, such as installations or technical structures, without compromising the aesthetics of curtain walls, since they reflect light in such a way as to create an optical effect of continuity of the transparency of the glazing.

One of the most interesting features of this yard was the Stainless Steel Effect Anodizing that NECE performed on a special striped aluminum laminate, known as Rimex, giving the material a sophisticated look and also improving its performance.
