THE JJ MACK BUILDING
The JJ Mack Building is conveniently located in London, as it is only 100 m from Farringdon Station, a major railway and matropolis hub.
It is a ten-storey high-tech office building with the ground floor dedicated to commercial space.
First to be rated, in the UK, BREEAM Outstanding, in 2018, already at the design stage and an EPC rating of A.
Winner of SECBE Digital Construction Award 2021 for smart building project managed via Smart App – JJ MACK.
The project achieved a 5-star NABERS rating for energy performance and commitment to sustainability, one of very few in the UK.
The window and door frames, with custom designs, as well as the facade profiles, were produced by Schüco International Italia, a world leader, and anodized by NECE, its longtime supplier.
The Architectural Firm requested to create a new color made specifically for the project, not obtained by powder coating, but through anodizing processes that would ensure to remain unchanged over time and meet the parameters of the British Standard.

ANODIZED MATERIAL: custom profiles for window and door frames and facades, flat and shaped sheets
NECE has a very large experience of first-rate international construction sites and is, among the very few in the world, to guarantee a close tolerance (delta E) in the process of Interference Electrocoloring. In addition, the processing is certified with the numerous checks carried out throughout the process.
A special feature of this project is the large number of shapes and sizes of sheets to be anodized, an aspect that involves a major study of the hooks, for each geometry, and a calibrated process for each individual shape.
To arrive at the shade definition, several samples were provided and then visual & performance mock-ups were done to evaluate the live aesthetic rendering of some architectural modules and functional verification such as, for example, response to water. air, noise and tightness.
The importance of this project required the creation of a dedicated working schedule, with the sequence of all production steps and related checks, step by step.
