Trinity Island represents one of the most exciting new additions to Manchester’s urban landscape , this new neighborhood, located on the banks of the River Irwell, offers spectacular views of both the river and the surrounding city, creating a unique and striking environment.
Rappresenta un ambizioso progetto di sviluppo urbano in una delle città più dinamiche e in crescita del Regno Unito, che mira, non solo a trasformare il paesaggio urbano, ma anche a promuovere la sostenibilità e l’innovazione.
Le due Torri, distaccate dagli altri grattaceli della città, non passano inosservate per forma e carattere; la D2, prima ad essere costruita, verrà sorpassata in altezza dalla sorella D1.
Le facciate sono una scacchiera di vetro e pannelli in lamiera di alluminio sagomata, che presentano l’ormai inconfondibile firma dello studio SimpsonHaugh, con una macro-foratura emblema ormai della nuova Manchester.
Particolare attenzione è stata posta sulla funzionalità degli edifici: i pannelli macro-forati permettono all’aria di entrare negli ambienti abitativi, garantendo una totale sicurezza per i residenti.
I terrazzi-balconi, chiusi da parapetti a tutta altezza in lamiera d’alluminio macro-forata, fungono da veri e propri muri perimetrali e possono essere definiti terrazzi chiusi in quanto creano un ambiente protetto e separato anche se a molti piani d’altezza.
I montanti verticali, in profilo estruso di alluminio ed elettrocolorati per interferenza, donano un’aspetto longilineo e gradevole alla facciata dell’edificio.

D2 TOWER – VISTA RIVER GARDENS
This residential and commercial tower offers a panoramic view of the enchanting river landscape and the thriving city, whose curved facades follow the natural bends of the river, while the sloping facades make the building look thinner and create interesting patterns of light and shadow.
On the ground floor, the tower rises above a row of columns, creating wide covered walkways on three floors in the center of the site, with the lower floor designed to create unique interconnected spaces and roof gardens, offering residents a sense of immersion in the natural surroundings.
The building’s distinctive features are its textured appearance and anodized aluminum colors, which distinguish it as a unique and distinctive landmark in the city’s changing landscape.
