UV Printing

Some industries, including marine, automotive, interior design, lightingsmall parts, production machines, and 3D printers often need to take anodized parts to the letterpress or screen printer for printing logos, trademarks, wording, signage, and decorations.

To avoid more logistical movements for the customer, with the resulting time, cost and damage risk, NECE decided to create a new work area dedicated solely to the CMYK four-color digital UV ink Printing service with a state-of-the-art industrial plotter.

UV Printing ennobles the material by adding graphic and design elements through advanced techniques.

Ennobling the material greatly enhances the appearance and perception of the product through the addition of texture, gloss, opacity, and other visual effects.

The printing area is 3050 x 2050 mm and the maximum media height is 250 mm, with a speed of up to 150 m²/h.

Components that have been anodized, presenting a homogeneous surface with the oxide layer forming a single body with the aluminum underneath, are ideal for printing, especially those with open-pore anodization.

This has made it possible to produce naval signs also of the Braille type with 8/10 mm relief printing.

The plotter has the special feature of producing pure white, which is used as a uniform and bright base to then reproduce, in a completely faithful manner, the colors requested by the customer in RGB or Pantone with contrast and depth effects.

The substrate to be printed, which may have a surface difference of up to 5 mm, depending on the type of material it is made of, is treated with primer to ensure maximum resistance of the print to detachment.

UV Print service can also be requested with varnish paint to create a glossy/matte contrast or an etching effect on glass and plexiglass.

The plotter also allows lenticular printing, a special technique that, thanks to the effects of light refraction and reflection, creates an effect of depth.

It is also capable of making 3D effect prints giving the impression that some elements are closer or farther away than others.
